The Tree of Life is one of William Morris' most famous designs from the Arts and Crafts era. Originally woven by Morris & Co, circa 1910, also known as 'The Garden'. From an embroidered wool portiere designed by John Henry Dearle (1860-1932), an associate of William Morris (1834-1896) who worked very closely with him for many years.
