Free Digital Simulation

Sometimes it can be difficult to visualise a tapestry on your wall, so here at Hines of Oxford we offer a service to help you find the perfect solution!

We will create a free digital simulation of up to four tapestries on your wall, so you can see how the tapestry will transform your space!

Please read the instructions below, fill out the form and we will reply as soon as possible.

How it works...

1. Decide where you would like to hang your tapestry

The first step in choosing the perfect tapestry for your home is to decide on the spot where it will be hung.  This is key to enabling you to select the correct size tapestry for the space.

Measure the area selected and decide how much of the space you would like the tapestry to cover. If you would like different sizes of the same tapestry digitally simulated, please ensure you enter the different sizes and then you can compare which one you prefer.

Generally we would recommend the tapestry should fill the majority of the space, for maximum impact.

2. Choose your tapestry

Please browse through our different categories to decide what style you would like, maybe it's an iconic Bayeux tapestry, a classic William Morris piece or something more comtempary - there is something for everyone! Click here to search through our tapestries.

Or if you would like any suggestions on finding the perfect piece taking into consideration size, style and budget, we would be more than happy to help. Please give us a call or send us an email.

3. Photograph your wall 'square on'

Once you have decided on what tapestry/tapestries, you need to take a photograph of the wall on which you wish to hang your tapestry. This photo needs to include some of the room ideally, like a sofa or doorway, to help you visulise how it will look once hung.

It is important that the photograph is taken 'square on' to the room so that the wall is straight, which is crucial for producing an accurate as possible rendition.

If the photo is not taken 'square on' it may distort the simulation or mean it is not possible to even create it.

4. Measure your wall

For our design team to scale the tapestry to your room as accurately as possible, we will require the dimensions of a prominant area of the photograph you have just taken.

Typically this would be from corner to corner of a room but could be from the floor to ceiling or another fixed point such as existing pictures on the wall or panelling for example.

5. Submit your information

After you have completed steps 1- 4, you are ready to send us your photograph and tapestry selection.  Please fill out the form below.

If you would like to see more than 1 tapestry simulated on your wall, please use the information box on the form to put in up to 3 extra skus and sizes.

6. Superimposing

Once we have received your photograph, including dimensions and tapestry information, we will get to work to digitally simulate the tapestry on your wall.

We will use the dimensions to get an accurate as possible rendering of how the tapestry will look in your room.  Once we have done this, we will email you the image to see if it works for you!

If you would like cushions or accessories to complement the tapestry piece in the room, please ask for advice and we can recommend a selection of products that would add the finishing touch!

Testimonial

"We were looking for a tapestry to hang on the wall of our property in Bath. Because we were unsure of the size, Hines of Oxford created a simulation using a photograph of the room we had taken. This proved invaluable and gave us the assurance we needed in order to go for a larger size than we had first thought. The tapestry arrived well packed and very quickly, and it looks amazing. We really did need the larger size, as the ceilings in the property are very high; anything smaller would have seem lost. It was super-easy to hang using one of their dedicated rods which came with instructions and the fixings needed. The quality of the tapestry is wonderful and the colours are true to their catalogues. We are extremely delighted with both the tapestry and the service, and would recommend Hines of Oxford without hesitation."
