In 2015 Hines of Oxford were asked by Cheekwood Estate & Gardens to handweave a bespoke tapestry for their grand entrance hall of the country house. Based in Nashville, TN, USA, the Country house has been public garden and fine arts centre since 1957.
Hines were given an old black and white photograph of an original tapestry hanging in the hall. From this, the design team had to decide on a suitable colour pallette to work with in order to replicate what was existing previously.
